When a child is suffering from a life threatening condition, it is the smaller things in life which bring them peace and joy and at the end of this month, people will be putting on their running shoes to make wishes come true for children around the world.

Morrison BMW in Cahir are hosting a Run4Fun in aid of The Make A Wish Foundation on Wednesday, April 30 at 7.30pm, with a four mile road race that is suitable for both seasoned athletes and those who wish to jog or walk at their own pace.

Last year's event attrached more than 450 participants and they are hoping that this year will see up to 600 people putting on their running shoes to support this worthy cause, as a donation will be made to The Make A Wish Foundation for every participant.

For more information, contact Niall O'Sullivan of Clonmel Athletic Club on 086-1660888 or visit the Morrison BMW Facebook page. The entry fee is €8 and this can be taken in Morrison BMW on the night of April 30 from 6pm onwards, with the event starting at 7.30pm from the Cahir showrooms.

There will be cash prizes for the following: first two senior men, first two master men 0/40 and over, first two senior women, first two master women 0/35 and over and there will also be prizes in an open draw on finishing positionings during the race.

The Make A Wish Foundation grants the wish of a sick child every 25 minutes somewhere in the world, so this is a great opportunity to be part of that wonderful movement and donate to a great cause, while also getting fit and taking part in a fun community event.
