The latest in a growing list of dumping incidents in the local area occurred near St Michael’s Well on the outskirts of Ballyduff last week. The Avondhu were notified of at least three different cases of dumping, two along the same stretch of road, and a further pile of burned rubbish off the road at Tobarnahulla.

St Michael’s Well straddles the Cork/Waterford border between Araglin and Ballyduff and is a popular location for locals and tourists to visit. The rubbish consisted of both household and construction rubbish, along with an old cabinet of considerable size. Further cases of dumping have been reported in Ballyhooly, Rathcormac and Fermoy in recent months.
