A section of the road to Ballylanders from the Mitchelstown direction is to be closed by Limerick City and County Council from January 19th to 20th, in order for signage to be erected to improve road safety.

The road from Ballyfauskeen Cross as far as the entrance to Ballylanders (where the green ‘Welcome to Ballylanders’ sign is) will be closed from 8am to 4.30pm, with diversions in place to Bourke’s Cross.

The road closure follows calls from both locals and Cllr Eddie Ryan to improve road safety in the area following an increase in collisions and incidents in recent months.
