John Joe O'Brien from Galbally, went to great lengths to detail the revolution he was part of and thanks to the efforts of his son Stan D. O'Brien, a book has been produced that gives a blow by blow account of 'The Troubles' in south Limerick.
'John Joe's Story' was officially launched in Canon Hennessy Hall, Galbally on Saturday night last. A huge crowd attended with pride of place going to Stan, his wife, Doreen, son, Kerry and daughters, Naomi and Shannon.
