On Sunday last, September 8th, it was the turn of the O'Gorman clan from Glenshask (near Lismore) to meet up and renew acquaintances.

Cousin, Fr. Richard Broderick (MSC) who travelled from South Africa, said Mass in the home of Michelle Brennan which is situated close to the original O'Gorman homestead in Glenshask - Michelle is a daughter of Michael O'Gorman. Fr. Richard was assisted by family members, Chloe and Alan Brennan along with Padraig and Niamh O'Gorman.

Following Mass there was a tree planting ceremony. Another to make the trip from London was Margaret Orford (nee O'Gorman). Food and drink followed the tree planting and entertainment came courtesy of Ed and Jewels.

The feel good factor was further enhanced by Waterford's famous win at Croke Park.

According to one of the event organisers, Margaret O'Brien (nee O'Gorman), the re-union had helped strengthen family ties and was an opportunity for different strands of the family to get to know each other better.

The event is the latest in a series of re-unions that have been inspired by The Gathering nationwide.
