Renault Zoe E-Tech Electric retains title of best used electric small car at 2022 What Car? electric car awards

The Renault Zoe E-Tech Electric has been crowned ‘Best Used Electric Small Car’ at the What Car? Electric Car Awards 2022, the second consecutive year the pioneering small EV has claimed the award.

By successfully defending its title, the Renault Zoe E-Tech Electric reaffirms its position as the leading small electric vehicle on the market, regardless of whether drivers are buying new or used.

This latest award joins an impressive array of accolades from experts across the industry and comes at a time when more people than ever are looking for the most affordable way to make the switch to an electric car.

The experts in the What Car? team praised the Renault Zoe E-Tech Electric for its style, ease of driving, and remarkable value for money, adding that the Zoe continues to offer a comprehensive package that remains hard to beat.

Mark Pearson, What Car? Used Car Editor said: “In an ever-growing and hugely competitive field, the Renault Zoe remains our favourite small electric car if you’re buying used, thanks to its all-round competence and remarkable affordability.

“Buy a Zoe of any age and you’ll find it practical and stylish as well as smooth and easy to drive. If you buy one of the later versions, it comes with a very respectable range, too. Its success means it’s also a plentiful car on the used market, and because of that you’ll always find a decent version to suit your budget.

“It’s that value for money, added to its overall usability, that means for us there’s still nothing in this class to touch a used Zoe.”

The latest Renault Zoe E-Tech Electric features a generous 52kWh battery, capable of achieving up to 383 KM (WLTP) on a single charge. Rapid 50kW DC charging on the boost charge versions allows for up to 144 KM of driving range to be added in just 30 minutes, or 80% charge from flat in only 70 minutes.

Available in a choice of Techno and Iconic trim, the Zoe E-Tech Electric boasts a high level of standard specification that includes climate control, heated seats and steering wheel, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

In addition, drivers have the peace-of-mind offered by a 5-year, 150,000km warranty plus an 8-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty.
