Hard-pressed business owners in Ballyhooly, not to mention beleagured motorists using the Ballyhooly to Fermoy road daily, breathed a collective sign of relief recently when the road diversion was finally lifted, allowing traffic to flow freely for the first time in months. The main road works have now been completed. Some accommodation works are still to be carried out though, and motorists are warned that a temporary ‘stop and go’ system may have to be employed in the coming weeks.
