Car sharing is back in Cork city, with GoCar relaunching its service in the city with six new car locations.

The announcement comes in conjunction with European Mobility Week 2018 (September 16th-22nd), which is calling on people across Europe to combine different modes of daily transport for environmental and economic benefits.

In order to meet local demand for alternative transportation options, new cars will be located in Pope’s Quay, Coburg St., Baker’s Road, Frenches Quay, Evergreen Road and Bishopstown.

More Irish drivers are being encouraged to try car sharing as a cost-effective and sustainable transport option alongside public transport, walking and cycling.

Working with Cork City Council, the company is offering free sign-ups and €10 off first journeys to drivers in Cork, available until September 30th.

To avail of the offer, join via GoCar.ie and enter promocode MobilityWeek.
