With major refurbishment works due to begin very shortly on Ballyhooly Church, the doors are now closed to the public until the works are complete, in the interest of health and safety.

The upper and lower roofs are to be replaced but as much slate as possible will be salvaged as Ballyhooly Church is a protected building, so conservation is important. The walls are due to be re-pointed also as part of the works.

The same works were carried out on Castletownroche church recently and people are very impressed with the finished project there.
