For those of us who loved the songs made famous by the late, great Luke Kelly, sitting in on Chris Kavanagh's tribute to the Dubliner at The Village Arts Centre on Saturday, July 27 will be very a special treat indeed.

Ever since Chris, whose resemblance to Luke in every sense is really uncanny, first launched ‘A Tribute to Luke Kelly’ in October of 2001 in Dublin’s Hotpress HQ before an audience which included Luke’s siblings and relations, he has taken Luke's music to far flung corners of the globe. Thye have enjoyed sell-out performances in all the major Irish venues, even as far away as Australia.

Lead singer, Chris Kavanagh bears a remarkable resemblance to Luke while his singing talents capture the depth and passion of the great man. He is joined on stage by accomplished musicians who all consider it an honour to bring Luke’s memory to the stage in the ultimate tribute to the King of balladeers.

‘The Legend Of Luke Kelly - Dubliner’ comes to Kilworth’s Village Arts Centre for one night only on Saturday, July 27. Tickets are now sale at 18euro each from The Avondhu office, Fermoy (025-32227); Hyland’s Bookshop, Mitchelstown (025-24528); Cotter’s Bar, Kilworth (025-27109 after 5pm) or call 087-6492514.
