Rathcormac West End star performs for an audience closer to home

Rathcormac native Claire O’Leary will be streaming a Cork Opera House performance this Christmas.

The West End star is set to perform a selection of songs from The Great American Songbook on Saturday, December 5 at 8pm.

No stranger to the stage, Claire wowed Cork audiences last summer with her performance at The Cork Proms Broadway and starred in the West End’s production of Les Miserables up until its closure.

Now based in London, local lady Claire trained at Arts Educational School in London and NYMT and has played multiple roles in productions there.

However, she has made her name known with productions closer to home too, playing the role of Penny Pingleton in Hairspray, and while she was only a teenager, played the role of Alice in Alice in Wonderland at the Cork Opera House Christmas pantomime.

Claire’s West End debut came this year with the production of Les Miserables at the Sondheim Theatre in London.

Now though, the Rathcormac native will be performing to an audience closer to her Rathcormac home, with tickets for the online event priced at at a giveaway €5.
