Scout groups in action during the Phoenix Challenge at Pallaskenry in Co Limerick over the weekend.

Two local scout groups tasted success at the Phoenix Challenge in Pallaskenry, Limerick last weekend, with both Rathcormac and Mitchelstown Scouts claiming gold medals.

The Phoenix Challenge is a national scout craft competition that takes place at the end of August each year. It is the largest annual gathering of scouts in Ireland with over 100 patrols of eight scouts from all around the country participating.
