As many people were scrambling around to get their hands on a ticket for last weekend's All Ireland final in Croke Park, perhaps a 93-year-old ticket from the Tipperary V Dublin match on Bloody Sunday which is up for auction will stir just as much excitement in people.

Fans who bought the tickets for the Great Challenge Match in Croke Park on Sunday, November 20, 1920, were to later know the day of the big match as 'Bloody Sunday'.

The ticket is one of many rare items up for auction in The Auction Rooms in Sixmilebridge in Clare on Tuesday, September 17 from 10.30am. They also have auction rooms in Doneraile and Galway.

Other little gems going under the hammer include a document detailing ambush positions across North and West Cork and a limited edition copy of the Good Friday Agreement signature sheet.

For those more enthused about furniture, there is a small private collection of 19th Century walnut furniture, including two pieces of Limerick made Colhoun furniture, a ladies table, a centre table, bookcases, dining table, bedroom furniture and sets of chairs.

Other items of interest include an old cast iron range stamped for Boyds of Limerick and a lot of interesting art pieces.

The items can be viewed on Saturday, September 14 from 11am until 5pm, on Sunday, September 15 from 2pm until 5pm and on Monday from 11am and the doors open on Tuesday at 9am for viewing, with the sale starting at 10.30am.
