The coffers of Watergrasshill Community Association are a good deal healthier following the very successful annual race night at the Horse and Hound Bar on Saturday night last.
A good crowd on the night combined with strong sponsorship of the various races and other aspects of the event to make it a success. The funds raised will go towards development projects and the future regeneration of the village. The community association has already managed some major achievements such as the community hall, community children's playground, the indoor basketball courts and the arts theatre.
As a rapidly changing community, the association is mindful of the need to manage growth in a structured and positive way in Watergrasshill and the much-needed funds generated by Saturday night's event will help further that objective.
Joan Cahill from the association this week issued a sincere thank you to all sponsors and supporters of the event.
