Works in Fermoy have continued under Project ACT with construction commencing near the Fitzgerald Place car park on Monday, November 9.
Improvement works to the existing footpaths and pedestrian crossing in the area are currently under way. Work is funded as part of Cork County Council’s Project ACT, to help support and reactivate county towns and villages due to the ongoing impact of Covid-19.
Construction is scheduled for completion by the end of this month and access will be maintained for all businesses and casual traders for the duration of the works.
This follows works carried out in several other Cork towns, such as extensive works on footpath widening and marking, pedestrian crossing installation, safety measures and improvements, like those recently completed in Mitchelstown.
