Members of Fermoy Action for Children's Education (F.A.C.E) held their AGM in Adair Hall, Fermoy on Thursday, 21st February.
Reports were presented by Thomas Flynn (chairman), Mag Flynn (secretary) and Pat Canning (treasurer). All outgoing officers, including vice chairperson, Mariska Smith and PRO, Cllr Tadhg O'Donovan were returned unopposed. In each instance the officers' reports were concise, accurate and insightful.
During the course of the evening, individuals, groups and organisations who assisted FACE during the year were thanked.
Those who attended the AGM were given a detailed breakdown on the activities of the group which does such outstanding work with children who have a variety of learning difficulties. FACE also provides support and backup to the parents of children with learning difficulties.
The group continues to meet regularly in Adair Hall, Fermoy and a dedicated telephone line has been set up to assist those with queries or concerns (087-2278459). You can e-mail facefermoy@gmail.com, there's also a website: www.facefermoy.com.
In light of increasing cutbacks to essential services, members of FACE are campaigning hard to maintain critical funding for those who have learning difficulties.
They take this opportunity to thank the public who continue to support them practically and financially. This assistance is much appreciated.
