Popular Ballylanders garda to hang up his uniform

Well wishes are pouring in for a Ballylanders Garda who is to retire after decades of dedicated service to his community.

Garda John Curtin who is stationed in Ballylanders, will be handing back his badge at the end of April after 25 years service in the South Limerick village.

John said he has been totally blown away by the well wishes from locals and told The Avondhu that he has thoroughly enjoyed his time in the community.
