Many parts of the country experienced severe downpours last Sunday, however, Knockadea was spared, allowing patrons to enjoy the varied programme of events at this well attended gala day.
There was a strong motor sport theme to proceedings with bikes and quads competing for honours in the third round of the Motocross grass championships.
School children from Knockadea took to the stage to sing, dance and play a number of instruments. The GAIN-sponsored dog show attracted a fine entry and there were several other sideshows that included a very busy bouncy castle.
The gala day was organised by Knockadea Community and Sports Club who are an extremely active and progressive voluntary group. Volunteers expressed themselves as being 'very satisfied' with how the day went and they wanted to thank everyone who attended.
Charities to benefit from last Sunday's activities include Drive To Survive and Milford Hospice - two most deserving causes.
