The proposed garden centre for Fermoy town was a matter raised at last week’s full meeting of Cork County Council, with the council unanimously voting in favour of a material contravention, allowing the development to proceed.
Local councillor Noel McCarthy, proposed to adopt the material contravention for the planning, which was seconded by Mitchelstown councillor, Kay Dawson.
This was unanimously passed by the 50 councillors in attendance, therefore allowing permission for the garden centre to go ahead.
