An exhibition of work by graduates of Fermoy Adult Education Centre’s digital photography course was held at Synergy Credit Union, Fermoy for two weeks during the month of December.
The 2016 graduates exhibited a sample of the work they completed while undertaking the six month photography course.
Photography tutor at Fermoy Adult Education Centre Paula Murphy, said the five graduates did great work during the course and they each chose two of their best photographs for the exhibition.
“There were ten photos just to showcase some of the work they had done during the year, there could have been much more. This level three course gives people a good grounding in the basis of digital photography and they always really enjoy it,” she said.
The 2016 graduates were the second group to complete the course, which is six months in duration made up of two hours per week.
A camera club was set up at the centre on the Rathealy Road and a lot of the photography graduates naturally progress to becoming a member of it, said Paula.
Fermoy Adult Education Centre caters for a wide rang of abilities, from those wishing to improve their literacy to adults who have finished a FETAC/QQI level 5 course and wish to progress on to third level education.
A new photography course will begin this January and anyone wishing to register can contact Ruth Doherty on 025-49932 or 086-8238758.
