Fire brigade and ambulance personnel were called to a house fire at a premises at St James’ Place in Fermoy last Monday morning.

The fire occurred in a basement office which resulted in a lot of fire damage and smoke damage.

The owner of the property said that it was only when he went to answer the door to a courier, that he noticed the smoke in the lobby and then became aware of the fire in the office.

Luckily all the doors were closed which contained the flames.
