People who voted for Pat Fouhy, an independent candidate in the Fermoy area for the Local Elections 2014 might be wishing that any of the pre-election promises were just empty words, because if he follows through wish his campaign promise, they might get a little bit more than they bargained for.

Pat Fouhy from Castlelyons is best known for turning up for a Fermoy court appearance on horse back and his election leaflets promised that everyone who voted for him would get a 'big sloppy horse kiss'.

Pat got 396 votes in the first count, so there could be almost 400 people out there in Cork who are hoping that their ballot paper won't be bringing them a kiss from Pat's horse.
