Five new car parking spaces were recently introduced to Church View, Bartlemy as the first part of a pilot project being rolled out by Cork County Council.
The project, announced in July of this year, is to see new parking spaces introduced to three different estates in Bartlemy, Kilworth and Doneraile, by converting segments of green areas within these estates.
Speaking with The Avondhu, Cllr Noel McCarthy said that he welcomes the completion of the first project under the scheme, having raised the issue a number of times at council meetings.
