A staggering 84% of people have been late in getting to a large public event because of parking issues, a recent study has revealed.
The survey of Irish motorists, carried out by Easytrip, found that a key consideration for half of the respondents when attending events is parking.
“Nearly one in five motorists (17 percent) have opted not to attend an event due to worries about finding a safe parking spot, and 84 percent revealed they’ve missed the start of an event due to parking issues,” said Sarah Stritch, Easytrip Marketing Manager.
Even if they do find convenient parking, 42% of respondents said they sometimes feel unsafe when returning to a dark car park. One of Easytrip’s most popular services is its parking subscription which allows toll tag holders access to more than 40,000 parking spaces across the country in major off street car parks.
