Parishioners in the diocese of Waterford and Lismore are being invited to participate in a review of the diocesan Pastoral Plan ‘Building in Faith’ and by doing so, contribute to the future development of pastoral needs for the diocese. It’s being done by way of a survey which is currently underway.

The Pastoral Plan was launched by Bishop William Lee, who recently retired. It was designed as the model for what was perceived to be important from a pastoral point of view to every parish. Arising out of it, a Diocesan Pastoral Council was formed.

As it’s now felt to be time to take stock again. Parishioners across the diocese are being encouraged to give their input by completing the survey which is anonymous and confidential. The objective is to get views on the impact of the plan to date and to allow the diocese to better plan for the future.

The questionnaires were made available at Masses in parishes throughout the diocese recently. However, anyone who didn’t get one and would like to can collect one from their local church or download it from the diocesan website www.waterfordandlismore.ie. The survey should be completed and returned to local churches on or before this Sunday, October 27th.
