Paola recovering after vicious dog attack

Paola suffered serious injuries to her arms, hands and legs and is currently recovering in Cork University Hospital.

The young woman attacked by a dog where she lives at Upper Cork Street in Mitchelstown on Monday morning has been named as Paola Sahovic from Croatia.

Paola suffered serious injuries to her arms, hands and legs and is currently recovering in Cork University Hospital.

On hearing her screams for help shortly after 9am, neighbours alerted gardai who were stationed just a few doors away. Fortunately two gardai (initially) were quickly on the scene and were forced to draw their batons to get the animal to release its grip on Paolo.
