The Shave or Dye fundraising event organised by D’Babers in Fermoy has so far raised over €600.

Now in its sixth year, all money raised from the national campaign will go to the Irish Cancer Society. Michael Stack of D’Barbers said they are delighted with the outcome of the fundraising initiative.

“It shows the generosity of Fermoy and the surrounding areas and hopefully we can do something again next year and raise even more money. Cancer has affected nearly all our families so it was for a great cause.

“Kay Magner, James O’Driscoll, myself and Colette Aherne would like to thank everyone who came in and donated. And also to everyone who donated throughout the two weeks.

A massive thanks to Orla’s Hair Salon who sponsored the hair dye and gave us great help on the day. People can ‘like’ us on Facebook at D’Barbers and see more photos of the day,” he said.
