Huge crowds turned out to The Firgrove Hotel recently for a fundraising Bingo game in aid of Galbally playground.

Sean Denihan of the organising committee, told The Avondhu that they were delighted with the support from people from Galbally, Mitchelstown and surrounding areas.

The excitement and tension in the main function room was rippling through the crowd with each call of 'check' as lucky winners nabbed themselves some welcome cash prizes just before the festive season.

There was also a raffle on the day and the organising committee would like to thank everyone who supported the Bingo and all of the businesses and people who had put forward spot prizes for the raffle.

All support was greatly appreciated and the fundrasier will help towards making the dream of Galbally playground a reality in the future.
