Local Centra stores were amongst those who scooped the much coveted Excellence Ireland Supreme National Hygiene Awards recently.

Herlihy’s Centra, Fermoy; Farrell’s Centra, Mitchelstown and O’Sullivan’s Centra, Kilworth received their awards at the 2015 Centra Quality Awards held in Killarney.

The accolade identifies and reward retailers who have maintained the highest standards of food safety, quality, and hygiene in their stores over a three year period.

In addition, a further 12 Cork stores were presented with the Excellence Ireland National Hygiene and Food Safety Certificate, which is independent verification of the highest standards of operational hygiene and food safety in the food sector business.

These stores included Dano’s Centra, Doneraile; O’Sullivan’s Centra, Kildorrery; Ross’s Centra, Watergrasshill; Downey’s Centra, Castletownroche; O’Sullivan’s Centra, Castlelyons, O’Mahony’s Centra, Mallow and Herlihy’s Centra, Mallow.
