E Fermoy Enterprise Centre, funded and supported by Cork County Council, now boasts extended office space and training facilities for start ups and expanding businesses in the Fermoy area. Building on the existing ‘hot desk’ offering, the newly extended Fermoy ECentre will enable companies to develop and grow into dedicated office space, with multiple desks and office pods. The aim of the ECentre is to provide a flexible solution for all entrepreneurs in a number of industries from consultancy to technology, finance, engineering and administration among others, and to support the growth of start ups and enterprises in growth phases in the region.

The Fermoy ECentre has been very successful to date, hot-housing a number of small companies. The newly extended centre not only offers professional and cost-effective office space, but also the ability to grow and scale at the E Centre.

iSeek Internet Solutions Ltd is an Internet Solutions Company based in the Fermoy ECentre. Managing Director of iSeek.ie Liam Coyle said: “We needed a low cost but professional office environment for just one person from which to build and develop the company. E-Fermoy’s hot desking service was the perfect solution. The ECentre at Fermoy and the hot desking service on offer was the perfect solution. iSeek.ie has grown over the last number of years and now that we employ 6 people, we have moved into the new own-door office rooms at the Centre. Having the flexibility to add additional desks and rooms as needed has been a contributing factor to our success.”

As with all ECentres, the Fermoy centre is equipped with high speed broadband, hot-desking facilities, large training and conference facilities, free parking, break-out areas and a ready-made network of business contacts through existing tenants. A number of successful businesses including iSeek, Glandore Systems and Delphi, are based in the Centre already, and have benefited enormously from the flexible, professional business setting at the Faber Castell Business Campus.

TURN-KEY UNITS

Local estate agents, Collins O’Meara are now offering a number of own-door office units to let on behalf of Cork County Council. The office units vary in size from two desk units to four desk units in a state of the art environment. These turn-key units are fully equipped with office furniture, 4G broadband, zoned heating, air conditioning and canteen facilities. Denis Collins of Collins O’Meara Auctioneers believes that these units are custom-made to suit both up and coming businesses or those looking to downsize from larger commercial units. They are ready to go with modern equipment and facilities laid on throughout. The Faber Castell campus is an attractive location as borne out by the number of new businesses established there over the past number of years.

The Cork County Council site also offers industrial units, food incubation space and state of the art conference facilities, further strengthening its place in Fermoy as a hub for enterprise. Successful ECentres are already established in Macroom, Bantry, Millstreet, Charleville, Bere Island, Mizen and Bandon.

E Centres are funded by Cork County Council through the Economic Development Fund. For more information, please contact Collins O’Meara Auctioneers in Fermoy on 025-31000 or Julie Crowley, Cork County Council (info@ecentres.ie).
