New McDonald’s drive-thru brings 50 jobs to the region

Fifty new jobs have been created in the Fermoy area with the expansion of McDonald’s restaurant located on junction 14 of the M8 motorway as they recently opened a new drive-thru facility.

The new drive-thru will see Fermoy’s workforce grow to over 85 people, providing a significant boost to the local economy.

McDonald’s Fermoy is operated by franchisee Chris Pim, and peaking with The Avondhu, Mr Pim said that the public reaction to the new facility has been a positive one.

“It’s been very good, people have all been very kind and I think everyone is very happy to see this open,” Mr Pim said.
