Female entrepreneurs and budding businesswomen from across the Local Enterprise Office Cork North & West catchment area, which includes Fermoy, Mitchelstown, Doneraile and Mallow, are being encouraged to look to the future and register for this year’s National Women’s Enterprise Day after the line-up for the event was announced.
A Local Enterprise Office (LEO) initiative, now in its 16th year, National Women’s Enterprise Day (NWED) celebrates female entrepreneurs’ success and inspires female start-ups. The LEO wants to help build ‘Our Future, Our Way’ so come and join them on 13th October at the Brehon Hotel, Killarney.
The event will kick off with a welcome address by Moira Murrell, Chief Executive of Kerry County Council followed by a network event facilitated by Marie Wiseman of Wiser Marketing, which will allow attendees to meet with other female entrepreneurs present.
The keynote speaker will be Sonya Lennon, designer, broadcaster, social entrepreneur and successful businesswoman. It will also include an interactive panel discussion of the Cork and Kerry ‘Leading Lights’, hosted by MC Elaine Kinsella, a Radio Kerry presenter and RTÉ broadcaster. This event is an ‘Afternoon Tea’ style networking.
Representing the LEO Cork North and West is Enrika Moore, director and co-founder of Buttevant-based Viska Systems. This year’s NWED in Killarney is one of 16 events happening nationally, and is an initiative led by the 31 Local Enterprise Offices nationwide, and funded by the Government of Ireland, in partnership with Enterprise Ireland and Local Authorities.
