This Movember will see the male staff in Shaws, Fermoy partake in a fundraiser for the Irish Cancer Society. During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of millions of moustaches around the world.

With their 'Mo’s' men raise vital funds and awareness for prostate and testicular cancer and mental health. As an independent global charity, Movember’s vision is to have an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health. Movember challenges men to grow a moustache or a beard for the 30-days of November, thereby changing their appearance and the face of men’s health.

The male staff at Shaws Fermoy have decided to participate in this year’s event to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society. This will kick-off on Friday morning at 9.15am in-store when well known employee John Condon, who has had a beard since 1980, will have it shaven off by local barber Anthony Kelly.

John, along with the other men from Shaws will then grow moustaches and/or beards over the course of the month in an effort to raise as much money as possible for this worthwhile cause. Donations can be made in-store or by logging onto http://moteam.co/shaws-fermoy
