On Friday 5th and Saturday 6th April, St Patrick Players, Cloverfield return to Kilmallock with their production of John B Keane’s 'Moll'. Hilariously funny, the play is set in the parochial house in the town and parish of Ballast. When Canon Pratt and his two young curates engage Moll as their new housekeeper, Fr Brest and Fr Loran find their meals diminishing daily, while the Canon eats as heartily as ever.

Keane’s wonderful comedy tells of a parish priest's housekeeper’s campaign to provide the parishioners with a decent church and school and to secure a just and lucrative retirement package for herself.

Legend of Luke Kelly

On 30th January, 1984 it is said that the whole of Ireland grieved the early death of Luke Kelly. He has left an indelible mark as being the greatest folk artist of the 20th century. Chris Kavanagh brings his acclaimed ‘Legend of Luke Kelly’ show to Friars’ Gate on Friday, 12th April at 8pm. Lead singer Chris bears a remarkable resemblance to Luke while his singing talent captures the depth and passion of the great man. He is joined onstage by the accomplished musicians that make up The Patriots, all of whom consider it an honour to bring Luke’s memory back to the live stage.
