This coming Sunday, Mitchelstown Leisure Centre are holding their Open Day, and all are welcome and encouraged to take the opportunity to come and see the new, bigger gym space with a large range of quality equipment.
The Open Day will be launched by Cork senior footballer, local Cathail O’Mahony, who will officially open the new gym and fitness studio.
As well as the fitness facilities, the public will also get to see the state-of-the-art Events Centre, a space with huge potential, an impressive sound system, and the capacity to seat up to 600 people.
Readers of The Avondhu will know that there has been a significant investment in equipment in the gym, and to meet the high demand on the facilities the equipment has been moved to a new, bigger room.
The fitness room next door is home to a wide range of classes to meet people’s interests, abilities, ages and needs, be it yoga, cardio, HIIT or spin classes, and outside two AstroTurf pitches are available for hire.
The new website and social media channels have been designed by Alan O’Meara of Almedia, and he will be onsite too to show the new resources to the public.
The Open Day takes place from 2pm to 4pm in the Leisure Centre, and there will be refreshments in the foyer, activities on the AstroTurf and a free draw for all who attend on this coming Sunday, 16th October.
This is an ideal opportunity to meet the staff and see the community space in all its glory. The centre is a community space, and available for all people, young and old. Save the date!
