A Mitchelstown man has achieved his dream of coaching professional sport. Well-known strength and conditioning coach, Ross Corbett, is to work with Australian Football League (AFL) team, the Sydney Swans.

Mr Corbett, who played hurling with Ballygiblin, will be the assistant academy strength and conditioning coach with the Sydney Swans, who are often referred to as the Manchester United of the AFL.

“I can’t wait, it is a big opportunity. I have always wanted to get into professional sport,” he told The Avondhu this week.
