Mitchelstown institution sadly coming to a close

A stronghold of ‘a decent dinner’ and a Mitchelstown institution, The Hunter’s Rest, have recently announced their decision to cease operations.

In a statement shared online, proprietor and chef, Robert Mullally has announced his decision to retire after many years of a career in the hospitality industry.

While the decision was met with shock and sadness locally, many have expressed their understanding and offered well-wishes to the Mullally family, as the much loved business will close on Wednesday, April 30th.
