Mitchelstown improves Age Friendly image

New Age Friendly spaces have been placed at various locations around Mitchelstown, as part of measures to make the town more amenable to the elderly. 

Councillor Kay Dawson said that the spaces are a way for the town to show its respect and inclusiveness to those who may be struggling with mobility. 

“The concept behind age friendly measures is to help people feel comfortable in their town – these courtesy car park spaces fit in with that idea.
