Since it was first established in Mitchelstown in 1966, Mitchelstown Credit Union has become a cornerstone of the community, starting out from a small room in the Red Cross Hall on King Street – the weekly rent was then 2/6d and the first President was Fr Bobby Dineen. This week, we take a look back over the last 50 years.
