On Thursday, December 5, the LCA 5 class from Scoil Pól, Kilfinane went to visit the Milford Hospice Care Centre to donate the €670 that they had raised on their Spanish day in Scoil Pol.

The LCA5 class had a guided tour around Milford Care Centre by Melissa and we also met Sr Phyllis who is a blue nun and one of the founders of the Care Centre. We visited the beautiful old original building to make the presentation beside their Christmas tree. The LCA5 class felt that this was a very worthy cause because many of them had family members and neighbours who were cared for there.

Well done to Stephen Cleary, Amy Coleman, Evelyn Noonan, Sean O Farrell, Dylan O Leary and Neomye Staveley for running such an enjoyable and successful fundraising event.
