Due to the spread of COVID-19 and following recommendations from the HSE, Sunday Mass has been cancelled across many diocese.
On Friday, Bishop Crean having had communication from several priests in the Cloyne Diocese decided, that the most prudent decision was that all weekday Masses be cancelled, as well as weekend Masses (including St Patrick’s Day).
Mass will continue to be livestreamed from St Mary’s Church, Mallow on https://www.churchservices.tv/mallow but with no congregation present in the church, at the usual times – Saturday 6.30pm, Sunday 8.30 and 11.00am.
Mass will be live streamed from Mitchelstown Parish Church on Saturday evenings at 7.30pm and on Sunday morning at 8.30am & 11.30am (please check Mitchelstown Parish Website www.mitchelstownparish.ie).
We are also asked to follow the guidelines already issued with regard to funerals, weddings and baptisms.
Bishop Crean assures the people that priests ‘will continue to remember the needs of parishioners at Masses celebrated privately’.
