After being closed for more than a year, former staff member Brenda Healy is to reopen Mac's in Glanworth as 'The Local' this Friday night.

Brenda worked there for 15 years and was eager to make sure that the pub remained part of life in the village. This is the first venture like this that she has taken on and she hopes that people will support it locally.

To celebrate the reopening of the pub, there will be music on Friday night by Brenda's partner Steve McCormack, with Larry Tompkins as a special guest at 9.30pm and there will be finger food.

They will also be showing the All Ireland final on Saturday, with a great atmosphere, as people soak up the atmosphere from the big screen and there will be music that night from John Geary. 

Brenda will have music in The Local at weekends and will also cater for parties and special occasions. We wish her well!
