Machinery auction at Cork Marts

Cork Marts are holding a Machinery Auction on 27th August, at the Corrin Events Centre just outside of Fermoy.

The machinery sale will be conducted online, via the MartEye app. Entries were open last week, until Wednesday, and are now closed. Lots were opene for viewing in person on Wednesday and Thursday until 5.30pm.

Items on sale include some rare items, including a collectable 1974 Ford County 1124 Super 6 Tractor.

The sale will take place on Friday evening at 5.30pm. The sale is expected to be well supported by local famers, and will include a number of balers, mowers, cattle boxes, cattle feeding equipment, diet feeders, with a wide variety of machinery expected on the day.

A similar event was held in April 2021, which had a successful clearance rate of 79%, with a total of 300 lots. The auction in April included a New Holland tractor, a 399 Massey with low hours, and vintage tractors.

The registering process will be done through the Mart Eye app. A deposit will be taken by credit card and will be fully refunded seven days following the sale if no purchases are made.

All machinery purchased must be collected on Saturday the 28th August from 8am until 5pm.. 

An auctioneer’s commission of 10% + VAT will apply to  items sold under €500, 5% + VAT on items sold between €501 and €9,999 and 2.5% + VAT on items sold over €10,000. 

A minimum of €5 + VAT will be charged against every sold lot, whichever is greater.
