The planning application for Lyrenacarriga Wind Farm in the West Waterford and East Cork area has been submitted to An Bord Pleanála, according to an update shared on RWE’s website.
The application, lodged under the company name Curns Energy Ltd, is a Strategic Infrastructure Development application.
Located approximately 5 kilometres southeast of Tallow, and approximately 9 kilometres northwest of Youghal, the wind farm site measures about 733 hectares.
Seventeen wind turbines are to occupy the site, each with a maximum height to blade tip of up to 150 metres.
