Works to restore Loughlins Bridge in Clogheen to its former glory are expected to be completed in the next week.

The structure was damaged at the end of November 2017, after a driver lost control of their car and smashed into a wall of the cross over.

Tipperary County Council funded the repairs which are expected to total €24,000.

The traffic lights, in place since the accident, have now been removed and the road is expected to be resurfaced in the coming weeks.

This is seen as very good news for the area.
