Local drifters are in the top spots of the current Drift Master 2025 drivers, as Round 3 of the Drift Masters European Championships got underway over the weekend at Huvivaltio PowerPark, Finland.
Castletownroche drifter, James Deane and the team arrived in Finland with the Ford Mustang RTR, while the Shanahan brothers from Killavullen also took to the track, with both Conor and Jack driving Toyota GT86s.
The weekend began positively, with practice sessions running smoothly, both James and the car performing at their best. James delivered an outstanding 98.5-point run, earning him the top qualifying spot and setting the tone for a strong weekend ahead. Jack Shanahan wasn’t far behind, placing 6th among the 32 drivers, securing a 95.3 run, and Conor coming in 11th with a 94.5 run.
