Over 200 small food businesses gathered in Meath recently for Bord Bia’s Small Business Open Day, with local businesswoman Beth-Ann Smith speaking at the well-attended event.
On the day, companies received information on the range of programmes and facilities available to support further growth and business development.
Speaking at the event, held at the Johnstown House Hotel in Enfield, was Beth-Ann Smith of Lismore Food Company, who shared the story of the company’s recent overseas success with fellow food producers.
Bord Bia estimates it currently works with some 700 small businesses across the country.
