In the impressive surroundings of the Vienna Woods Hotel in Glanmire last Saturday, the world premieres of four short films by local filmmakers Girish Patel and Carmel Barrett were screened to a select audience made up of cast and crew members.
The cast included two young Fermoy students, Julia Thompson and Reece Treacy, both in 5th year in Coláiste an Chraoibhín, who had leading roles in two of the films. Like multi-Oscar winning Hollywood movie ‘The Artist’, all of the films are silent with powerful and dramatic themes.
