Medics at Livinghealth Clinic in Mitchelstown are wearing protective equipment to limit the risk of infection from Covid-19.
Julie Beamish, manager of the facility, said that the centre has not had a coronavirus case but that some staff were wearing masks. This measure is in keeping with advice and guidelines from the HSE and Public Health.
Ms Beamish sought to dispel any rumours of an infection at the centre when she spoke to The Avondhu on Wednesday of this week.
“I can confirm that there has not been a case here but what I can tell you is that we are putting patient and staff safety first …”
