Disappointing scenes were noted at Aghern Bridge once again, as litterbugs returned to the local scenic spot during the warm weather, destroying the beauty of the area, with scant regard for members of the public and the environment.
Arriving on site on Monday, one Conna local visiting the popular bridge-side location was met with a host of rubbish and discarded items in the green area located on the bank of the river.
“This is ongoing, year in and year out. There were pizza boxes, clothes, cans, bottles. There are lovely tyres and planters put in there now but that didn’t stop them. They even threw the lifebuoy into the river,” the Conna local said.
